Video: Memo600 “Steppers”

Wielding croaking rhymes delivered in unbreakable cadences, Chicago native Memo600 lives and breathes the street lifestyle. Defiantly sneering at rappers who rhyme about the block from cozy confines, Memo600 shares “Steppers.”

A ferocious and lyrical burst of drill, “Steppers” is an aggressive and eerie track, as the O-Block resident delivers an unhinged and theatrical hook: “Oh you be with them STEPPERS, huh?” In the video, which already has over 465k views, Memo rhymes from a tabletop at a house party in his Balenciaga sneakers, enlisting the rest of the attendees as backup rhymers and dancers.

A recent signee to Lil Durk’s OTF label, along with crewmembers Booka600 and JusBlow600, Memo600 developed a loyal fanbase on YouTube with his unique style of drillin’. He collaborated with fellow Chitown riser El Hitta on the vicious “Locked In” (598k YouTube views), and earned his biggest exposure with the eerie local hit “Exposing Me” (1.1 million views), which reverberated in South Side streets last summer. The King Von-featuring remix of “Exposing Me” has over 7 million views on YouTube.
