Compton’s YS has been building regional buzz for the last two years. After a series of solo mixtapes, YS is connecting with Detroit producer Helluva for a new mixtape, Realer Than Real. The project’s first single, “Hate Me,” brings both the West Coast and Midwest regions together as both Babyface Ray and Fenix Flexin join YS over bouncy synths to deliver braggadocious bars. The video, shot in VHS by Wyatt Winfrey, showcases a typical night at the studio with all three rappers hanging out and shooting pool.
