Video: YN Jay “Slow Motion”

One of the most charismatic, yet enigmatic figures in the game, YN Jay, has been on a hot streak that doesn’t look to be extinguished anytime soon. He heads back to his hometown roots for a new video for “Slow Motion,” a laidback banger produced by frequent collaborator, Marc Boomin.“Stoppin’ at my granny crib, lookin’ at my granny crib/Like goddamn, this where we used to live/Probably in my pop’s Cadillac, that’s where we used to chill.” As we see him head back to the streets on which he grew up, the camera zooms in on the street sign for Stem Lane, where he used to “ride through the Buick”–contrasting his current life as a rap star with his humble origins. The video is quickly approaching 50k views in less than 24 hours, which is a testament to the fanbase Jay has cultivated through. It’s the latest drop off his recent full-length project, Coochie Chronicles which dropped earlier this summer.
