Video: Jaah SLT “Intro/What We Do”

North Carolina’s Jaah SLT releases a two-part visual for “Intro/What We Do.” Drawing sounds from punk, “Intro” is an aggressive assertion of Jaah’s towering confidence. In the video, a furious Jaah shakes his blonde dreads in front of a series of evolving backdrops, from a yellow soundstage that echoes the color scheme of parent album 9-25-20 to an ice blue environment and a packed concert venue. “What We Do,” the second part of this distinct visual palette, offers a more contemplative visual accompaniment to a trap ballad. Jaah brings forth his softer side by filling the frames with images of nature, including a flourishing garden and beanstalks that stretch to the sky, and with oil paintings of Jaah himself (adding moving lips to the still images in a manner that evokes the opening credits of Spongebob Squarepants— one of Jaah’s favorite shows).
