Video: Dusty Locane “Canes World”

One of Brooklyn drill’s most promising artists, DUSTY LOCANE, has finally announced his highly anticipated debut album, UNTAMED. Out next Friday, 11/19 via EMPIRE, the album is not only a dossier of what defines DUSTY as one of the city’s hottest drill artists, but what drives him as a man through in his everyday life. In just one year, DUSTY has garnered over 250 million global streams, and he’s ready to keep feeding the streets. It’s home to his breakout hit “ROLLIN N CONTROLLIN FREESTYLE,” as well as other certified heaters like “Rolando (Caught In The Rain)” and “RUMBLE” that dropped earlier this year and still can be heard blaring out of car stereos from Bed Stuy to Bay Ridge. The album also features appearances from label mates, Yung Bleu and OBN Jay, who each provide their own brand of melodic flair to the track listing.

Along with the album’s announcement, DUSTY dropped “CANES WORLD.” Serving as the record’s closing track, the song serves as DUSTY’s mission statement to anyone dumb enough to doubt him or his crew. He confidently spits over low-key, yet sinister drill production, reminding haters and foes how he’s stood pat and never switched up, proclaiming “Said you had faith in a n****, where that shit went?/I was in the trenches with a couple killas hell bent.” The track is a testament to DUSTY’s ability to bring listeners inside his world, even if they’ve never stepped out into the 90s a day in their life.
