Video: Don Q & B Lovee “Come Find Us”

Formally known as the birthplace of hip-hop, Bronx, NY is home to many lyrical greats and continues to be instrumental in the trending sample drill movement. Repping the borough with iron-tough delivery and a no-nonsense attitude, Don Q and drill riser B Lovee join forces to send warnings to their opps in “Come Find Us.” Stepping out of his comfort zone, Don dominates a guitar-laced drill beat and hissing 808 drums with lyrical flare, while B Lovee offers his expertise with tough-talking rhymes. The Starr Mazi-directed video sees the two Bronx natives lurking in the pathways and corridors of a Bronx building with a mob of their closest homies, ready for anything that comes their way.

Making a definitive comeback with his first project in three years, Double Or Nothing, Don Q is wagering on himself to become the Bronx’s next hometown hero. As he notes on “Come Find Us,” he isn’t competition with anyone other than himself: “Come to bars, I’m the hardest around (I’m the hardest around)/ N***a, don’t try to argue me down (Try to argue me down).” Spanning 10 tracks, Don offers signature lyrical dexterity while cutting his teeth on the Bronx’s bubbling sample drill scene. Though he remains true to his sound, Don isn’t afraid to explore new avenues, and he urges new listeners to find out all of his capabilities. Double Or Nothing (DON) is available everywhere via Highbridge The Label/EMPIRE.
