Landing fresh in our pages today is DammnTC, which stands for his tag you might be more familiar with, ‘Daamnn Too Cool,’ with his track “Orion’s Belt” which features Yeat who is arguably the most compelling underground legend turned mainstream act in recent years. Yeat opens the song up over Too Cool’s mellow upbeat production accented by spacey tones which favor Yeat’s raw melodic flows and he always impresses me with just how many delivery styles he has up his sleeve and how frequently he can cycle through them without falling off beat. This instrumental is ideal for Yeat and falls towards the more chill end of the spectrum for him sonically, compared to his more raucous rage-beat driven songs. Obviously everyone here at Lyrical Lemonade waits in great anticipation to see what Yeat does next after the massive success of his latest project 2 Alivë but I am also interested to see what intriguing collaborations TC gifts us with next.
