We recently sat down with North Carolina artist Castaway for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he discussed his visit in Atlanta, life in Clinton, North Carolina, jumping off the porch at a young age, having morals and principles instilled in him early on, studying communications in college, making music in middle school, being influenced by Webbie, Wu-Tang, FreeBandz, connecting with Young Scooter, getting a Gucci Mane verse while he was incarcerated, getting his rap name from the movie Castaway, taking music serious in 2010 after working with DJ Scream, knowing how to use a beat within 10-15 seconds, biggest risk that helped his career, his opinion on the music scene in Clinton, his brand new project ‘HD’, the project being inspired by to his family sending him a photo of when he was young, his experience working with Young Dolph and much more!
