Columbia, SC rapper RexNendo recently impressed me with his mixtape To Live & Die By The Drum which not only showed off his menacing flows and lyricism but also introduced us to several new wrinkles of his style, dropping off laid-back flows, heartfelt melodic tracks, and even dabbling in feel-good plugg-music, aiming to show not only his endless swagger and volatility, but also his versatility in music making. This project was excellent to me and I definitely think that RexNendo is on the short list of next South Carolina artists poised to blow up.
