Maxo Kream “Still”

Breaking out in 2015 with Maxo 187, Maxo Kream exposed the gritty underside of Houston rap, combining stark lyrical realism with innovative production. With his subsequent projects, The Persona Tape in 2016 and 2018’s Punken, which earned massive critical acclaim, including “Best Of 2018″ honors from Noisey, The AV Club, FACT, and DJBooth, among others, Maxo Kream has amassed a cult like following, growing his Spotify monthly listenership to over 1 million and garnering over 22 million plays on “Mars” feat. Lil Uzi Vert as well as 4.5 million Spotify plays and 4.5 million YouTube views on “Roaches.”

His latest single, “Still” is a dark and sinister anthem that suits any era of Maxo’s style. Produced by St. Louis-born sound architect ChaseTheMoney, the new single boasts thumping bass and eerie synths as Maxo rhymes in lockstep flow. “Still” is Maxo’s second single of 2019, following “Meet Again,” which has over 2.7 million streams on Spotify and the video, which is out now, was directed by acclaimed director Shomi Patwary (Beyoncé, A$AP Rocky, Pusha T).
