6LACK x “East Atlanta Love Letter”

Ricardo Valdez Valentine is so Zone 6 that he goes by the stage name 6lack and he dropped undoubtedly one of the best R&B albums of the year titled East Atlanta Love Letter. If that ain’t putting on for the 6 than I don’t know what is!

With features from Offset, Khalid, J. Cole and fellow East Atlanta native Future, 6lack delivered a stellar, yet simple line up that gives fans the capability to enjoy superstar guest verses and the ability to solely focus on 6lack’s artistry as he unfolds many different relatable emotions and stories throughout the album. Once 6lack vocalized “Hot lemon pepper whip, that means it’s wet as shit” on Loaded Gun, your immediately engaged into the Atlanta culture.

With many naming 2018 as the year of heartbreak, East Atlanta Love Letter couldn’t have arrived at a better time. So many songs with meaningful messages all pertaining to the one emotion, Love. 6lack delivered an astounding album with the perfect balance between street and sweet with songs that’ll leave you saying “I want this song played at my wedding.”

Thank you Bear for speaking my emotions when I couldn’t find the words too. A real Zone 6 East Atlanta legend. Stream the album plus, watch the new video for the title track featuring Future below.
