Video: Z Money “Shawty Paid Intro”

A consummate hustler who likes to spend his hard-earned cash on the finer things, Chicago native Z Moneyalways has his finances on his mind. Taking a rare day-off from his grind, Z Money takes a trip to the shooting range with his significant other in “Shawty Paid Intro,” his latest video. The new video finds the 1017 Eskimo signee rapping in his trademark high-pitched cadence atop demonic 8-bit synths and skull-rattling bass courtesy of DY of 808 Mafia, drawing attention to his expensive taste as the camera applies into a kaleidoscopic effect.

Praised for having a “consistent hold on the [Chicago’s] underground street sound,” Z Money is a proud prodigy of Gucci Mane and a serial entrepreneur in his own right–in addition to rapping, he owns businesses in trucking, real estate, restaurants, and dog breeding. On May 10th, the rapper released Shawty Paid, a new mixtape in which Z Money zeroes in on the process of getting paid, methodically detailing his hustles and reveling in the fruits of his labor. With appearances from Gucci Mane, NAV, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, and others, Shawty Paid arrives via 1017 Eskimo/Alamo.
