Video: atm “Rush”

Mass Appeal Records (Nas, J Dilla, Run The Jewels) is super excited about their newest signee – Teaneck, New Jersey’s atm, as he brings a more lo-fi, SoundCloud-y mellow style than the traditional hard-hitting bars that the label is known for. Celebrating the signing, atm is announcing his debut self titled EP due 4/26, and dropped the video for “Rush,” his breakout single that caught fire on Spotify with 1.3M streams, earning placements on Spotify’s Mellow Bars (761k followers), Dorm Daze (212k), and With You (56k).

“Rush” blends romance and low-key flexes, backed by v chill instrumentals from Cor Blanco, his best friend who produced 7/8 songs on the EP, combining gentle topline sounds, often from guitars or ukeleles, with rattling bass and trap drums. The LONEWOLF-directed video uses effects like stop-motion and creative color saturation to capture the mood. It’s a charming, summery portrait of a relationship, as atm and his girlfriend explore L.A.’s Little Tokyo and flirt poolside.

On 4/26, atm will release his self-titled debut project via Mass Appeal Records. On atm, the New Jersey native picks up where he left off with “Rush,” with more infectious hooks and unmatched melodic flow. New cuts like the genre-bending “Sunset,” aspirational “Miami Nights” and bag-securing “wholelottaguap” are sure to set the tone for atm’s future hit-making career.
