Cuz Lightyear has been killing it for awhile now. It’s working out, too, because legends like Nas and Killer Mike have noticed his undeniable talent.

Cuz Lightyear released a new EP “WHAT UP CUZ” via Mass Appeal Records. The project is led by 3 singles “Recognize” feat. G Perico, “FOH” feat. Maxo Kream and is produced by Metro Boomin, and the video for “Pots N Pans” which features Killer Mike who heralds Cuz for having “the soul and melody of Bone Thugs and Nate Dogg while being as witty and lyrically sharp as the the young Fabulous with a work ethic like Master P. He is the now and the future of ATL.”

The Atlanta-based emcee sat with MASS APPEAL for the latest episode of “Open Space” to talk about his early days in Little Rock, the fateful meeting with Killer Mike that led to their longtime partnership, being forced to temporarily quit rap by a federal probation officer and more.
